The 19th Century landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted, believed that the underlying art of a good landscape design could produce an effect on the whole human organism. Inspired by this idea, we’ve tried to capture the spirit of Olmsted’s healing philosophy in the design of The Park Gathering Space. We know that today’s busy lifestyles and fast pace can be challenging, so we have created the illusion of an artful landscape design for the rejuvenation and pleasure of our guests. The Park’s interior features timeless elements of Detroit’s own Belle Isle Park to showcase the effectual beauty of her natural landscape as it was when Mr. Olmsted was in discussions with the City of Detroit to design their island park.
